Start/Bench – Week 4

Week four is here and as promised there are changes aplenty to the STUDS list at each position. Using the rational that was laid out prior to week one that STUDS should be automatic weekly inserts to starting lineups with no second thoughts it is high time the lists were adjusted.

The players dropped from the list will have an accompanying explanation, as will the players who have ascended to that coveted position. Diligence will be job one from here on out in making the STUDS list current on a weekly basis as there will obviously be adjustments needed due to injuries, byes and consistently poor or excellent performances.

QUARTERBACKS

STUDS

Peyton Manning
Michael Vick
Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
Matthew Stafford
Cam Newton
Robert Griffin III
Matt Ryan

WELCOME ABOARD

Michael Vick

: Has the potential to be the top QB point scorer every week in Chip Kelly’s offense. In his worst outing of 2013 he still finished with top-14 QB numbers.

IT’S SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE

Colin Kaepernick

: Six turnovers and no TDs over the past two weeks and he’s not running the ball effectively this season.

Russell Wilson

: Six TDs and four turnovers are decent numbers through three weeks but decent does not equate to every week starter status.

Tony Romo

: Solid week three performance but very mediocre weeks one and two make Romo a nice weekly start but not an untouchable one.

Andrew Luck

: The Colts are primed to be a pound the rock offense with RBs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw. Luck will be efficient but not a weekly must start.
