A full slate of games ahead in Week 10 as there are no byes. However, there are plenty of close games, which makes for a difficult week. Check out the Week 10 full game-by-game analysis …
*There are not many options this week so I will pick a winner in every game.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers
– Divisional battle on the year’s first Thursday night game. I would avoid this game as anything can happen in these AFC West matchups.
Pick = Chargers.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals –
A great Week 10 matchup after the Steelers blew the game late to the Baltimore Ravens. A loss here would set them back in the division. Cincinnati should already have gained respect as they sit atop the AFC North at 6-2, but a win against Pittsburgh would go a long way for this team.
Pick = Bengals.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs –
Another AFC West matchup where the entire division is separated by just one game. I think the Chiefs will rebound at home this weekend, but I would not touch this game.
Pick = Chiefs.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts –
The Colts are not going to finish 0-16. This is one of their winnable games of the season. Don’t think about Jacksonville.
Pick = Colts.
Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys –
One of the interesting games of the week has the Bills heading to Dallas after alternating wins and losses over the last six weeks. They lost to the New York Jets last weekend and Dallas picked up a home win against Seattle. The Cowboys need to keep pace with the Giants in the NFC East, but they will also be without Miles Austin.
Pick = Cowboys.
Houston Texans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers –
The Texans have been playing well without Andre Johnson, mainly due to the running of Arian Foster. However, they are due to slip up in one of these games. Stay away from the road team.
Pick = Texans.
Tennessee Titans at Carolina Panthers –
Cam Newton leads the Panthers, who seem as if they are better than their 2-6 record shows, against the Titans. Stay away from the AFC-NFC clash.
Pick = Titans.
Washington Redskins at Miami Dolphins –
Another interleague matchup in Week 10 is between two of the worst teams in the league. The Redskins are probably the worst 3-5 team in the league while the 1-7 Dolphins are at the bottom of their conference. However, the Dolphins have shown some fight of late, but they have not been able to finish. It is tough to envision Miami losing seven straight and then winning two straight, but you can not put much faith in the Redskins either. Pass.
Pick = Dolphins.
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons –
A big game in the NFC South, where the Saints have struggled on the road. Also, Matt Ryan is known to be dangerous at home. Stay away from this game, but if I had to pick a winner I would go with Falcons.
Pick = Falcons.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears –
Key matchup in the NFC North as there may only be room for one Wild Card spot from this division. I think the Bears will win this one at home, but avoid in survivor.
Pick = Bears.
St. Louis Rams at Cleveland Browns –
Pass on this game that will be tough to watch.
Pick = Browns.
Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles –
The Eagles are one of the limited options in Week 10 if you have them. They should rebound against the Cardinals, but I am not sure I would expect a blowout since that loss on Monday night may still sting.
Pick = Eagles.
Baltimore Ravens at Seattle Seahawks –
It is always tough to go into Seattle and leave with a victory. The Ravens are coming off a big win against the Pittsburgh Steelers and could be due for a letdown on the West Coast. I expect Baltimore to win, but it could be a close game.
Pick = Ravens.
New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers
– The Giants are also coming off a big win and head to the West against the 7-1 49ers. Stay away from this one.
Pick = Giants.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
New England Patriots at New York Jets
– Another game to pass on in Week 10, but a huge game for both teams. Can New England lose three in a row?
Pick = Jets.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers –
Here is another option if you have them available this weekend as the Packers should put on another scoring clinic in primetime.
Pick = Packers.
PACKERS & EAGLES are your top two selections. If you do not have either, then I would go with a home team in the Dallas Cowboys. Next, I like Houston on the road. As I have mentioned, I do not like to pick road teams, but there are not many choices this weekend. My final two picks would be the Kansas City Chiefs or Chicago Bears since they are home.
Good luck in Week 10!
