Survivor Pools – Week 10

My two main picks (Bears and Bucs) both snuck out victories last week and my third option in the Eagles took care of the Seahawks. You should have advanced last week so as we now enter our first double-digit week in number 10, the field becomes slimmer. Check out the game-by-game analysis for this upcoming week …

The Rules:

Stay away from road teams.

Stay away from divisional matchups.

Never take a divisional team on the road.

On to Week 10…

Saints @ Falcons – Avoid the big divisional game.

Titans @ Bears – Should be a defensive battle.

Jaguars @ Lions – Can we trust the Jaguars? Their season is on the line against the winless Lions. I’m going to stay away from them after that loss to Cincy last weekend.

Seahawks @ Dolphins – Here’s a sneaky pick in the Dolphins, who have gone under the radar (other than the Wildcat) and sit just one game behind the AFC East three-way first place tie.

Seattle has to travel from West to East yet again and

Miami’s defense should shut down the Seahawks. You probably haven’t used the fish this year so this is a good time.

Packers @ Vikings – Another big Week 10 divisional game.

Bills @ Patriots – See above.

Rams @ Jets – The Jets have been shaky this year, and I’m not sold on them after last week’s win in

Buffalo. They have a Thursday night game against

New England that they may be looking ahead to as well. If Steven Jackson plays for the Rams, this game could be close. If he doesn’t, the Jets should take care of business.

Ravens @ Texans – This game was supposed to be played in Week 2, but with the hurricane, it got moved. I like the Texans back then, but am not sure about now after losing their QB.

Panthers @ Raiders – Gotta like

Carolina this week despite being in

Oakland, who are just awful. The Falcons shut out the Raiders last week in the black hole and there is no reason to suspect the Panthers will struggle after the bye.

Colts @ Steelers – Big AFC game. Can the Colts get above .500? That’s not something you hear every day.

Chiefs @ Chargers –

San Diego has been a mystery so far this year and it’s a divisional game, but they should be able to pull this one out or their season could be over, even in the weak AFC West. Falling to 3-6 would be a tough hole to climb out for

San Diego.

Giants @ Eagles – Sunday Night Football should be great from here on out.

49ers @ Cardinals – Can’t say the same about Monday Night Football. Therefore, the Cards should beat the Niners at home in a divisional game. However, I think I am going to avoid this one with 49ers coming off a bye and having a new QB. It is on MNF and these are usually close.

Miami Dolphins

Carolina Panthers

San Diego Chargers

recommend taking the Dolphins this week

since they are a sneaky pick and are home to the Seahawks.

Seattle plays another early east coast game that should affect them again.

Miami’s defense has been playing well and I expect that to continue. Matt Hasselbeck is out again for

Seattle, which doesn’t help them.

Good luck this week!
