If you can make it to the Thanksgiving weekend in your survivor pool, you know you are in the home stretch. Several big favorites are on the board in Week 12. Check out the breakdown to help make your choice this weekend!
For those who have been reading for the last few years, my golden rule is to avoid the road teams, especially early in the season when you have more options. I also do not like to take divisional games if I can avoid them. However, it is understood that you may not have a choice some weeks to follow those rules. It is also more difficult now as some survivor pools make you pick two teams down the stretch of the season to thin out the field.
Let’s get into the action for Week 12:
Saints @ Falcons – The Saints are possibly an option if you have nothing else.
Sunday & Monday Games
I don’t care how many points the
Texans are favored by (it is 10) against the Jaguars. They have continued to burn me this year, especially as big home favorites. The
Lions are my favorite pick coming off a loss against the Bucs who have won two straight after losing eight straight. The
should beat Minnesota without Aaron Rodgers, but I don’t think I will trust Scott Tolzien this late in my survivor season. The
Chiefs will look to rebound at home against San Diego as these two divisional teams meet for the first time this year. I would avoid this game if you even have Kansas City still available. The
49ers are favored by 5.5 in Washington and should be hungry for a win after last week’s loss and now the Cardinals on their heels.
The Lions are the pick of the week and I would be absolutely shocked to see them lose at home. If you do not have Detroit, then I would go with the road Saints before the Texans. As much as I want to stay away from Houston, I would take them over my team to avoid below. I would list the 49ers as my fourth option.
Recap of order
: Lions, Saints, Texans, 49ers
Panthers are coming off two big wins and now head to Miami on the short week. They are listed as 4.5 point favorites, but I would not take a chance on them this week.
Good luck in Week 12!
