OK! The season opens and my bench team outscored my regular team. What is a loser to do? Calmly we will recall the week that was fantasy and the part that was reality. You can do much to help yourself but in the end, plays make the game and sometimes it just all falls apart. Lets start off with the week that was.
The Sunday Victory
I only write one paragraph on the Sunday victory my friends. That is when it happens. And it just so becomes a co-inky-dink that it occurred the first week of the season. In fantasy football, you are bombarded with stats. You log in on Sunday night or Monday afternoon and you are winning. That is the good news. The bad news is that your opponent has Brian Westbrook and the Eagles Defense on the Monday Game. Hmmmmm… you weigh your chances. You hope and even you may say … “please, please please”! I have one word for you … Fuh-Get-About-It. The Eagles can still lose and Westbrook doesn’t have to have that great of a game and when you look at the live scores all bleary-eyed, you are the big Loser! And for every loser, there is a winner and if I have a Monday Victory, that will be a joyous paragraph. But those are few and far between and if you cannot handle the losses, the victories never come. And like donuts, they are so sweet and tasty. So what to do this week? Try to bolster your lineup with a player who did well, like maybe a Stephen Davis lets say. I would say N-O-T not my friends because there are people willing to get Stephen Davis at all costs.
Stephen Davis is Available!
I need a RB, lets pick up Stephen. Hmm! Click here! Add Free Agent there! Not! It says here that you can pick up free agents for the week starting on … Tuesday … 9:00 AM! Ugghh! Like that is gonna happen America. Don’t you know that for your own protection, most websites with Fantasy or Football or Sports in them do not get through that snarky firewall. It’s for your protection! So what are your options? Feign illness? Call your boss and let them know you are “working from home?” … again! Well, nope, you just watch Stephen get battled for at 9:00 AM by all those in the league with much less scruples than yourself. It happens that way. It sometimes does. So if you cannot bolster your team with a decent RB, you should concentrate on picking your best starting team. If you cannot pick your lineup correctly after week 1, what should you do? I suggest you pick your team wisely using an 8 step system.
Pick Your Team Wisely Using 8 Steps to a Better Team
Can 8 steps make your week? Only if you try them my compadres de football d’fantasy. Your Fantasy Football team wins if your starting team has more points at the end of the weekend than your opponent. As profound as that doesn’t sound it becomes that simple. A great bench doesn’t win it. But knowledge is power and I am here to help. If you lost this week, let me assist you with a strategy that will at least give you a fair shot. All you want is a fair shot in this game. Anything else and you are the Postmaster General for the town named Clueless, population, you! So here are 8 steps to a better starting lineup. I made the 8 steps stick out so you can keep them handy.
8 Steps To A Better Fantasy Football Starting Lineup
(1) Register At https://www.fantasysharks.com It’s Free! (Shameless Plug)
(2) Go to My Fantasy Home and enter your team in to the Edit My Players section.
(3) After Thursday AM Go To My Fantasy Home and the Fantasy Sharks Lineup Coach. Change all your players to that team…now!
(4) Here is the fine tune that helps out … Check out Tony Holm’s prognosticator
(5) If any of your second string (WR/TE/QB/K/RB) is on a hot offense, you may want to consider switching. For example Joe Horn’s New Orleans Saints’ passing will be better than Keyshawn Johnson’s Dallas Cowboys’ passing, I would start Joe Horn.
(6) Do that until you are satisfied with your selections
Now, just relax, you did your best. That is all you can hope for. If you are winning, great, but if you are like the other ½ this week, stuff like this may help. Now this is just a starter, message boards and all other fine writers on this site will help you. But you must begin in the beginning. Speaking of which…how did your first week go? Mine was a Sunday victory.
