How to read the table: The table shows how a team will do Passing and Rushing in the upcoming week of the NFL. Red is HOT, Yellow is WARM, White is NORMAL, Light Blue is COLD and Dark Blue is FREEZING COLD. Play players from teams that are Red and Yellow, avoid players from teams that are Light or Dark Blue and expect average days from teams that are White.
Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals – Thursday 8:25pm
This game is on as I write this. The Cardinals are currently up 17-10 after a horrible fumble by Adrian Peterson. Is ball security a lost art?

Tennessee Titans at New York Jets – Sunday 1:00pm
With Darrelle Revis back practicing with the Jets, the Titans’ chances slim. You have to applaud the progress that Marcus Mariotta (and Jameis Winston) are making. When you start to consider how many first round quarterbacks have flopped, it is a refreshing change to have some pan out for a change. Yeah Tennessee. Yeah Tampa. Mariotta will play well enough here, but the lack of a running game will make this too tough of a hill to climb. Expect the Jets to play well here and for Bilal Powell to make another good appearance in PPR leagues. The Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker combo will also be too much for Tennessee to handle.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals – Sunday 1:00pm
Yee-Haw! Let’s light this fantasy candle. Holy frappe is this going to be a barn burner. Heck, after we burn the barn, we may just go into town and burn that down too. Start what you can muster in this. The only area that could suffer is when the Bengals run the football, they may or may not be able to accomplish success there.

San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns – Sunday 1:00pm
Shaun Draughn vs. Johnny Manziel heads up is how this goes down. I know, I can’t believe it either. Either will make a serviceable start but there really won’t be any big fantasy days in this one. Gary Barnidge will be OK here too but you have to really be desperate to play anyone else. Blaine Gabbert has seen a rebirth, good for him and the 49’ers for taking a chance on him, I hope they see what they have there and give him the job for good. This game though is not a good one for Gabbert with the success the 49’ers will have on the ground.

Prediction: Cleveland Browns 23 – San Francisco 49ers 17
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars – Sunday 1:00pm
The Colts are going to throw the ball well here, even with a banged up Matt Hasselbeck but Blake Bortles will be just too much to handle as he tears the Colts apart with crisp passing and dramatic completions. The league desperately needs a new honor guard at quarterback and it is good to see so many of these underdog teams now being led by competent players at the position. We are witnessing a parity tipping point in the NFL where the teams that have been in building or rebuilding mode for seemingly forever, start to turn the tables on the old guard institution. In theory, that is how this is all supposed to work. The draft is geared to consistently reward less fortunate teams.
Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars 33 – Indianapolis Colts 24
San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday 1:00pm
Let’s not waste too much time on this one. The Chiefs win, the Chargers don’t, for almost obvious reasons. The Chiefs have been winning a lot of football games and the Chargers have been losing a lot of football games.. it’s pretty simple logic really. Expect a nice number on the ground for the Chiefs but it is disconcerting that they plan to have a true RBBC situation in Kansas City and let me just be the next person to state how sucky that is. Does Andy Reid not realize that it’s fantasy playoff time? Geesh! Steer clear of your Chargers and you’ll be glad that you did. I’d be OK with Antonio Gates.. maybe. They will need to throw to keep up so perhaps by sheer repetition he will show up in the boxscore.
