How to read the table: The table shows how a team will do Passing and Rushing in the upcoming week of the NFL. Red is HOT, Yellow is WARM, White is NORMAL, Light Blue is COLD and Dark Blue is FREEZING COLD. Play players from teams that are Red and Yellow, avoid players from teams that are Light or Dark Blue and expect average days from teams that are White.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs – Thursday 8:25pm
Any time you play in Kansas City you can expect a tough game, especially when it is a division game. Fantasy owners need to be careful here as there won’t be a lot of scoring to go around. Peyton Manning will struggle as the Broncos have a serious issue with pass protection and that will show. The Broncos receivers will be limited in this simply because they won’t have time to get open downfield before Manning gets planted into the turf. So expect a dedication to the ground game like we haven’t seen in a while from Denver and short passes underneath. It will keep fantasy stats low for everyone except for maybe C.J. Anderson but he isn’t 100% right now and that will also work against him having a big fantasy day.The Broncos defense is somewhat unheralded this season but they are better than many give them credit for. It will be a struggle for the Chiefs to amount much of anything offensively. Because of it, Travis Kelce makes another fine start as he’ll be the lone go-to-guy when things get tough for Alex Smith and they will get tough. Be careful with this matchup fantasy owners.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills – Sunday 1:00pm
I don’t think it’s much of a surprise to anyone that this is going to be a tough game for the Patriots to play. Vegas has the Patriots favored by a hair, the Bills dismantled a good Colts team last week and there seems to be some Sexy-Rexy-Mojo up in Buffalo to start the 2015 campaign. The Patriots secondary looked about as bad as it has been and that will eventually hurt them unless it gels quickly but the Bills aren’t exactly known for their prolific passing with Tyrod Taylor at the helm. You can bank on some exotic blitz packages from the Patriots to continuously try and put pressure on Taylor to make mistakes. The problem is, the Bills will match the Patriots play for play in this. Tyrod Taylor will take his lumps but he’ll also find open receivers. Tom Brady will do what Tom Brady does and will play well here too but the Patriots won’t ever be able to shake the Bills in what will be a score-answer-score-answer type game. Home team is the victor in a game that will come down to the final seconds.

San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals – Sunday 1:00pm
When I first saw this point spread I thought that the Chargers weren’t getting enough respect. I then ran my numbers and low and behold, I get the same result. What it turns out I missed in my initial 3 second evaluation is how good Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard are going to be in this. The Chargers won’t have an answer for either and that will carry the Bengals. The Chargers are going to be fine in the air as Philip Rivers was nothing short of miraculous last week and he has a very deep roster of weapons to work with but where the Chargers will struggle is trying to run the ball. It gives the Bengals the time of possession advantage in this and it will be the Bengals that will be able to manage the clock better because of it. It’s an advantage that will be hard for the Chargers to overcome but this is a tricky one to truly pick a winner from since Rivers is still Rivers and he’ll have a 2-minute drill to try and win the game, as the Bengals won’t be able to get up by more than 7 on the Chargers. Never say never.

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns – Sunday 1:00pm
Ugh. Pass. No really.. just pass on this. It will be tough on the Titans against a Browns defense that matches up well with them and it will be tough on the Browns because of Johnny Manziel and a backfield disaster in Cleveland. There will be some that will want to play one or the other offense thinking the matchup is soft for both. That would be a mistake.
Prediction: Cleveland Browns 20 – Tennessee Titans 17
San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers – Sunday 1:00pm
The simple answer is: This is going to be too much Ben Roethlisberger and too much Antonio Brown for the 49’ers to deal with. Yes the 49’ers defense looked better than expected last week and the Steelers defense looked about as bad as we expected but the 49’ers weren’t playing the Ben to Brown connection and that my friends, is an entirely different issue for them to have to contend with. Carlos Hyde looked great and he’ll be OK here, as will Colin Kaepernick, though he’ll need his legs to pull off a good fantasy day. The rest from both teams make risky fantasy plays this week, look elsewhere if you can.

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants – Sunday 1:00pm
There’s really not that many facets to this game that it requires a complicated analysis. It comes down very simply to Eli Manning and Odell Beckham vs. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Both pairings will prosper and while many will side with Atlanta, home field in New Jersey and a Giants defense that plays surprisingly well make up the difference for the G-Men.
