The Seadog Report

Greetings Sharkfans, welcome to the latest installment of the Seadog Report! Not much time to chit-chat this week so we’ll dive right in.

This past week’s Top Dawgs

DL John Abraham NYJ 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 pass-defensed.

DL Jared Allen KC 5 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble.

LB London Fletcher BUF 10 tackles, 4 assists, 1 pass-defensed, and 1 int.

LB Zach Thomas MIA 9 tackles, 2 assists, 1 pass-defensed, and 1 int.

DB Michael Lewis PHI  10 tackles, 2 assists, 1 pass-defensed, and 1 int.

DB Brian Williams MIN  5 tackles, 1 assist, 3 passes-defensed, 2 int’s, and 1 forced fumble.

Seadog’s picks of the week

DL Osi Umenyiora NYG vs. Kansas City Osi has become one of my favorite players. He started off slow, but has come on strong down the stretch. I don’t know if this is the best match-up this week, but he’s been great the past few weeks – don’t bench him now.

DL Derrick Burgess OAK vs. Cleveland Talk about hot, Burgess is pounding out the sacks these days. I gave up on him earlier in the season and that was a mistake. Play him against the Browns this weekend.

DL Reggie Hayward JAX vs. San Francisco Hayward is coming off of a pretty productive week. This should be a good match-up against the 49ers.

LB Keith Bullock TEN vs. Seattle Tennessee will have their hands full with the Seahawk’s high flying offense. Bullock should be very busy this week.

LB James Farrior PIT vs. Minnesota The Vikings resurgence is going to come to a screeching halt this week. I bet Farrior will have a big game against them on Sunday.

LB Nick Greisen NYG vs. Kansas City LB Pierce and DT Joseph are out this week for the Giants. Greisen is going to step up and be the man in the middle for them this week. Facing Larry Johnson and the run-happy Chiefs, this looks like makings of a great IDP play, so if you have him, then play him, and if he’s available, you might want to go out and pick this guy up in a hurry.

DB Bruce Thornton and Shawntae Spencer SF vs. Jacksonville Teams are throwing against the 49ers, just look at what the Seahawks did to them last week. The Jags will continue to throw and these San Fran CBs will be busy again.

DB Adam Jones TEN vs. Seattle “Pacman” has been finally showing some of the flashes he was drafted for. I don’t think the Seahawks will let up on the offensive side of the ball, and they will be picking on Jones this week.

DB Dunta Robinson HOU vs. Arizona This looks to be a good matchup this week. All Arizona can do is throw so all of the Houston DBs will be putting up the points.

The Wall Report

For those of you who have been following along with our inaugural IDP-only league, this is where I usually give a rundown of the past week’s matches. However, since it is playoff time, I’m just going to highlight the playoff contenders this week. There will be a consolation bracket going on during the playoffs, so perhaps there will be a few comments for that next week as well.

-The Hussy Bus took on Team Seadog and rolled over them this week as they stormed their way into the playoffs. Riding a 6-game winning streak, the Bus team is the hottest team in the league right now. Congrats Hussy Bus!

-Paddler’s Destruction team won this week assuring a spot in the final four. Decktard won as well, but it didn’t matter. Good Luck Paddler!

-Dgack’s Killer D team rolled to victory once again. This is a team quietly on a mission, and I’m picking them to win the playoffs. Nice Job Dgack!

-SJSwarm’s Gentlemen team won their last game and finished the regular season with the league’s best record. Way to go Swarm!

Round #1

Hussy Bus vs. SJSwarm

Paddler vs. Dgack

Thanks for reading everyone – see ya next week!
