The Seadog Report

Greetings Sharkfans, welcome to the latest installment of the Seadog Report! Before I get into much here, I’d like to inform you that there is a new forum in the shark tank dedicated exclusively for IDP talk. If you haven’t seen it, I encourage you to check it out. There’s some very knowledgeable sharks patrolling those waters and if your looking for some valuable IDP input or advice, it’s a great place go.

Okay, enough chit-chat. A few new faces top the list this week. Let’s get into it, shall we?

This past week’s Top Dawgs

DL Cornelius Griffin WAS Honorable mention to Aaron Schobel and Marcus Stroud, but hats off to Griffin for his 7 tackle, 1 assist, 2 sack, 1 pass-defensed performance against da Bears this week.

LB Jamie Winborn SF With Peterson out it seems like one of the other LBs step it up a notch each week. This time it was Winborn’s turn as he came up big against the Jets with 11 tackles and 2 assists.

DB Marques Anderson OAK  Even though he tends to be a real IDP tease, Anderson had a great week this week against Denver. His 14 tackle, 2 assist, 1 pass-defensed, 1 int was outstanding!

Seadog’s picks of the week

Obviously a lot of these players mentioned here are worthy of “stud” consideration, but taking into account the various IDP schemes that are being used out there, sometimes it becomes choosing between the good and the better on your IDP roster.

DL Kelly Gregg BAL vs. Buffalo  Buffalo’s offensive line is hurting and Gregg is a solid performer.

DL Greg Ellis DAL vs. Green Bay  Ellis has been having some excellent weeks lately, and I think this will be a good match-up this week,

DL Jevon Kearse vs. Cleveland  Kearse is due for a big week. I think he gets it this week against Cleveland.

LB Brian Urlacher CHI vs. Tampa Bay  I know, I picked Urlacher last week, and he had a very good week. I like his chances again this week. Stick with him.

LB Tedy Bruschi vs. New York Jets The Jets are going to run Martin and try to control the clock. Bruschi should be pretty active this week.

Baltimore LBs vs. Buffalo Obviously, Ray-Lew is an every week play, even if his numbers have been down a bit. Look for Terrell Suggs to have a multi-sack day this week.

DB Brian Dawkins PHI vs. Cleveland  Dawkins is turning it up a bit and should be in for a very solid outing against the Browns.

DB Darren Sharper GB vs. Dallas  Sharper has been putting up the interceptions lately, and I like him in this match-up this week.

DB Jerry Azumah CHI vs. Tampa Bay  Azumah was supposed to be a spot player last week after returning from a neck injury, but ended up playing half the game and had a 70 yard interception for a touchdown. Welcome back Jerry. Hopefully he’ll get into the kick return game as well this week.
