Greetings Sharkfans, welcome to the latest installment of the Seadog Report! Well, I’ve got to admit that last week was not a very good week for me IDP-wise. Between me blowing a couple of picks and having guys underachieve, my scoring was way down. Let’s see if we can turn things around this week.
(By the way, I apologize in advance for the timeliness and brevity of this week’s article, as I’ve been severely distracted these past 2 weeks due to the baseball playoffs. But, for the first time in all of my 41 years, I can proudly say, “the Red Sox are World Champions!” Nice! Go Boston!
This past week’s Top Dawgs
DL Aaron Schobel BUF 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced-fumble against Jonathon Ogden and the Ravens last week.
LB Keith Bullock TEN 9 tackles, 4 assists, 1 sack, 1 pass-defensed vs. Jacksonville.
DB Lito Sheppard PHI 10 tackles, 1 pass-defensed, 1 int vs. Cleveland.
Seadog’s picks of the week
These are the match-ups I like this week. Some of them might be a bit of a risk, but sometimes that’s the name of the game.
DL Justin Smith CIN vs. Tennessee Smith had a very strong performance last week; I like his chances again going against the Titans w/out McNair.
DL Detroit vs. Dallas The Lion’s DLs were all over the Giants last week. Let’s see if they can keep it up against the Cowboys. I like James Hall and Shaun Rogers in particular.
DL Aaron Schobel BUF vs. Arizona Schobel is on fire – stick with him
LB Terrell Suggs BAL vs. Philadelphia Suggs has become the Raven’s “sack-master” . Let’s give him a shot this week against the Eagles.
LB James Farrior PIT vs. New England Farrior has been awesome for the Steelers and I think he’ll get a workout against the Pats this week.
LB David Thornton IND vs. Kansas City I know Thornton is an every week play, but I like this match-up this week.
DB Gibril Wilson NYG vs. Minnesota Wilson has been putting up very consistent numbers this year, particularly for a rookie.
DB Sean Taylor WAS vs. Green Bay Taylor has been looking very good the past couple of weeks. Perhaps this is the week where he really busts out.
DB Ed Reed BAL vs. Philadelphia Finally, Ed is back on track. 5 tackles and an interception are not out of the question this week
