The Seadog Report Week 15

Howdy Sharkfans! Before I get into my Week 15 recommendations, I thought I’d throw out a brief status report on my 2008 season. In HAFAX, our Fantasy Sharks team made it to the playoffs as the No. 2 seed only to get ousted in the first round. My HEAT team made it to the semifinals, which was amazing since we pretty much were left for dead after eight or nine weeks. In the Wall, I missed the playoffs by a measly 10 points on what I consider a lack of judgment on my part. Oh well, it has been a fun year. Congrats to all that are still dueling it out in any playoffs you may be in!

DT – Johnny Jolly, GB – Jolly John had an awesome game last week and should continue the trend Sunday.

DT – Chartric Darby, DET

– Hey if you need to play a

Detroit player in your lineup – why not?

The two DTs that should be in your lineup are Shaun Rogers, CLE and Jamal Williams, SD. Both of them are hot right now.

Strong DT plays this week (favorable matchups):

Green Bay

DE – Robert

IND – The guy is fantasy gold.

DE – Mike Montgomery, GB – Keep on truckin’ with

Montgomery. He should have another good matchup this week.

DE – Trent Cole, PHI – Cole had a slight speed bump a couple of weeks ago, but he has leap-frogged his way back on track.

Keep an eye on Jared Allen’s injury status. He should be playing this week, but he has missed some practice time. He’s as hot as any DL right now.

plays this week (favorable matchups):

Green Bay

LB – Bradie James, DAL – James has been one of the hottest IDPs in the league the past couple of weeks.

LB – Jonathan Vilma, NO – I’m one of the few that thought Vilma would struggle this year. I was very wrong on that one. Vilma has been awesome. He will do well this week too.

LB – Ray Lewis, BAL – Great matchup; Ray-Ray should have a Top 5 LB performance this weekend.

LB – Keith Brooking, ATL –

Tampa is giving up some pretty high LB IDP points this year. Brooking should play well and put up some points on Sunday.

Kirk Morrison, James Harrison, James Farrior and D’Qwell Jackson are all smokin’ hot right now and all of them have good matchups this week. D.J. Williams cost me the playoffs in the Wall last week (my fault, but still …) My advice going forward is to not play him until you are positive he is going to be in the lineup.

Strong LB plays this week (favorable matchups):

New York Jets,

S – Ed Reed, BAL – Talk about a blast from the past. Reed has been a big-play machine.

S – Quintin Mikell, PHI – Steady performer with a good matchup this week.

S – Oshiomogho Atogwe, STL – I just love typing this guy’s name.

Keep an eye on Troy Polamalu this week. While it may not be the greatest matchup for him, he is really producing IDP points lately.

Strong S plays this week (favorable matchups):

St Louis,

Kansas City

CB – Charles Woodson, GB – Woodson is actually playing safety these days … might be an advantage in some IDP leagues.

CB – Cedric Griffin and Antoine Winfield, CB – They are playing the Cardinals; enough said.

CB – Ronde Barber, TB – Ronde is like the energizer bunny – he just keeps going and going and going …

Strong CB plays this week (favorable matchups):

Green Bay

Tampa Bay,

Well, these are some of my recommendations for Week 15. Thanks for reading!
