Wildcard Weekend

The standard salary cap is $60,000. The familiar names and studs will put a dent in your salary cap so you will need to find some value picks along the way. This contest includes only the Sunday games so you’ll have until 1pm kickoff when rosters lock to sign up.

Week 17 always offers some uncertainty from resting players to battles for seeding to players that are physically on the field, but mentally have already mailed it in. This is what makes daily fantasy so unique as you can take advantage of some of these plays in Fanduel this week!

Colin Kaepernick
($8,100) would be my top option this week based on price and performance. He has averaged 21 points in his last three games and his dual run/pass ability separates him from the rest.
Andy Dalton has a solid matchup at home, but you can save $600 with the 49ers QB.
Drew Brees and
Nick Foles are going to put a dent in your wallet.
Aaron Rodgers doesn’t have the best of matchups this week.

LeSean McCoy
($9,800) has been on fire and is worth every penny during this streak. He gets the Saints defense at home and should be the focal point of the offense, yet again. I would rank him over
Jamaal Charles this week as well, which allows you to save $400 in the process.
Frank Gore ($6,100) and
Giovani Bernard ($5,900) are backs I would like to pair with McCoy. Bernard fits into my salary cap so he is the choice at home.

: LeSean McCoy & Giovani Bernard

Jordy Nelson
($7,200) should be at least $8,000 when Aaron Rodgers is under center. He is a stud and WR1 that should be owned at this price. Other than his quiet game against Tampa Bay,
Anquan Boldin ($6,200) has been scorching hot the last seven weeks. Boldin also had his best game of the year Week 1 against these same Packers. There are plenty of value plays this week at WR, including
T.Y. Hilton ($5,600) and
Jones ($5,300).
Marques Colston also offers value at $5,800.
James Jones is a bargain at $5,200 and could be the beneficiary of coverage that focuses on Nelson & Cobb. I would use my dollars on these receivers with value other than paying for
AJ Green or
DeSean Jackson. Any of these value plays could match the output by the higher priced studs.

Jimmy Graham
($7,600) separates himself from the rest of the field and his price is not that steep. Only
Vernon Davis ($6,400) can really match the output of Graham, but I would rather roll with the New Orleans tight end.

Roll with the cheapest option at kicker:

Ryan Succop – $5,000 – he is the choice since in the dome

Alternatives at $5K
: Shayne Graham, Mike Nugent, Mason Crosby. Keep an eye on the weather in those locations.

As for defenses:

Bengals – $6,200 – best matchup of the week, but will cost you.

If you cannot afford them, roll with the Colts ($5,600) at home against the Chiefs. They have been playing hot of late.

Good luck this week!
