The Whale Sharks Keep on Coming.

Congrats DynastyForce on becoming our 4th Whale Shark (1000 messages) on the Msg Boards!! Like Hemol, you’ve been with us right from the start (21 days after we went live).
Yeah I found this place early on and instantly fell in love with all the wonderful articles and commentary from the Shark Staff. I just wish I kicked into high gear back then with posting instead of hiding in the deep corners of the boards.

So tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? How old are you..etc..etc.. What’s a typical day for you like?
Orange County California, where the Silicon flows like wine from Napa and an average home costs $550,000! 29 years old, married (sorry ladies) with child (Logan). My typical day starts with changing diapers, driving to day care, Posting from 8-5 (oh I meant to say working from 8-5), then back home to change more diapers, gotta love parenthood.

Like Hemol’s interview, why don’t we start out with some questions about Since you’ve been around from the beginning, you’ve seen a number of changes to the site. What’s your take on the site?
I love this site, now a days it seems you have to pay for everything and anything on the net, but you guys have managed to stay away from that corporate identity and still provide great articles and a place for us FF diehards to commiserate. About the changes, they have all been for the better, I can’t wait to see what’s in the works for next year.

Would you say we’ve improved over time? Any particular areas more than others?
Yeah, you guys have definitely added more interesting articles and the addition of the various leagues is great. Between posting and reading, one could spend all day on this site (and that’s the point right).

How about your favorite FantasySharks feature or article?
Oh man there’s a bunch here ya go: Progno, Projections, Start/Bench, Waiver Wire Candidates (although these aren’t really articles) and anything by Doug Coutts (sorry Rob). worries. Let’s move on to Fantasy Football questions. So, how long have you been participating in Fantasy Football?
Of and on for about 9 years. took about a 3-1/2 year break when I left for college; just too much to handle from a long distance.

And how many leagues are you involved in?
Currently 3 (1 Keeper, 1 Redraft and a Survivor), next year this will go to 4 with the addition of the new UberLeague (aka Garbage Time Football League).

Uberleague? What’s that?
Ah Yes the now famous, every-one-want’s-to-be-a-part-of UberLeague (AKA Garbage Time Football League). I might not be the best person to ask, but I’ll give it a shot. It all started with a post simply enough, a couple of hard-core posters interested in creating a league among other posters. This league deemed the UberLeague I believe because most of the owners are the top 10 posters on the boards. I think it’s a great idea. A league of dedicated posters battling it out on the FF field, it should be a lot of fun next year. Here’s the lucky team owners:

1 CleffedUp
2 Supersock
3 DGack
4 domaledonk
5 Hard10
6 PrimeMover
7 MattheuOfVa
8 Paddler
9 Hemol
10 DynastyForce
11 Agenda42
12 Florida Stag

Very Cool!! Glad to see people taking off on their own. So, what are your other Team Name(s). Any meaning behind them?
Keeper = Dynasty Force – I wanted to convey a sense of keeper domination.

Redraft = Jim’s Jedi’s – OK the cats out of the bag I’m a Star Wars fan (but not a costume-wearing freak) the name Jim is a long story, let’s just say my real name is David and my circle of friends call me Jim for an odd reason.

So what do you think your best and worst pick of the year was?
This year is one of those bad years so my best pick is yet to be named (maybe one of my super sleepers will pull through in the second half), my worst pick would have to be Onterrio Smith in the third… I really thought he was going to take that starting job until Bennett got back.

Ick. Ok, how about some NFL questions now. How about who’s your NFL team?
I didn’t grow up a football fan so I have no true dedication to a team per say: but I can say that I favor Indy, Jax, Miami and TB (see next question)

And your favorite NFL Player?
My favorite player hands down is the real Ricky Williams (not that bench warmer in Indy), Manning is second, Fragile-Fred and John Lynch (hence why I favor Indy, Jax, Miami and TB)

Ok. On to the message boards. Seems like the msg boards have picked up steam big-time lately. Any reasons?
MattheuOfVA… everybody is after him. No really, Being here for over a year I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. I think Hemol and I are the only consistent posters left from the beginning (besides the staff). I hope this new breed sticks in here and keeps the boards alive. I think these guys (MattheuOfVa, Supersock69, Hemol, Paddler, Agenda42, hard 10, briwoll, domaledonk, Dr. GoogleMover and dgack) have the insight and time to really make it happen.

And how’s the new blood doing in your opinion?
I like fresh fish, they bring in another opinion that we can work off of, and if anything else, hearing about a rookies first draft is entertaining (my hat off to Stag for turning his team around).

Got any advise to any new members?
Always remember the formula: RB is greater than any other position and always start your starters no matter how painful McNabb’s season is.

Great. Last question. Still going to be with us another year from now?
Gosh I hope so, I might even have more time to post as soon as my kid learns to wipe his own butt.

Let’s move off of that then…Well, thanks again for being such an long-time active poster on the message boards! And congratulations!!
I just want to say thanks to Tony and the gang, you’ve taken my Fantasy Football experience to the next level!
