QUARTERBACK

The top four values are players listed in the $5K range this week:

Jameis Winston – $5,500 v NO
Tyrod Taylor – $5,400 @ PHI
Ryan Fitzpatrick – $5,400 v TEN
Alex Smith – $5,100 v SD

Kansas City QB Alex Smith.

Out of this group, I am leaning towards Taylor after his last two big games (27 & 29 points). Marcus Mariota ($5,700) is another name to keep in mind against the Jets. The ownership level should not be high on him this week.

RUNNING BACK

Once again, the value at RB lies in the lower-priced options. If you are looking for one stud to pay up for, consider LeSean McCoy ($6,100) in a revenge game at Philadelphia.

Thomas Rawls – $5,800 – Do not be scared by the matchup at Baltimore. It may look daunting on paper, but these Ravens are not the same. Rawls has been hot and getting 20+ touches a game since he took over for Marshawn Lynch.

Charcandrick West – $5,100 – West’s injury put him into a split with Spencer Ware, but West still has the explosive ability to break off long runs and play the Jamaal Charles role in the offense. The matchup is great against the Chargers and since he is no longer the only RB in the offense, the public may look elsewhere

C.J. Spiller & Tim Hightower – $3,000 – People may flock to the big name of Spiller, who has done nothing this year outside of his walk-off OT winner against the Cowboys in Week 4. If you want to roll the dice, I would take my chances with Hightower. However, the matchup is far from ideal and there are question marks on what the split will be in this backfield.
