Ultimate Fantasy Quarterback – Week 3

Kurt got no respect from the voters this week.  Not only is he riding the pine in St. Louis but he is on the waiver wire for the Ultimate Football Quarterback competition.  Kurt received 90% of the votes and has been eliminated.

Jake Plummer had a second solid week in a row, too bad he is already out of the running.  This season, if you drafted a quarterback in the top few rounds, you are probably disappointed.  Guys like Warner, McNabb, Garcia, Gannon, and Brooks are struggling where Collins, Ramsey, Blake, Green and Plummer are doing well.  Patrick Ramsey was the only QB to throw for over 300 Yds in week 3.  Backups like Gus Frerotte, Tony Banks, Byron Leftwich, Kurt Kittner (who?) and Marques Tuiasosopo all saw playing time so it was a crazy week for QBs.

Here is the current status of the contestant pool:

Drew Bledsoe           Tom Brady               Drew Brees

Aaron Brooks            Kerry Collins            Daunte Culpepper

Brett Favre              Rich Gannon            Jeff Garcia

Trent Green             Matt Hasselbeck       Kelly Holcomb

Tommy Maddox        Peyton Manning        Donovan McNabb*

Steve McNair           Jake Plummer           Kurt Warner

* – bye week not eligible for elimination

Let’s get right to the nominations for this week:

Rich Gannon (Oakland) – For the second week in a row, Rich Gannon is on the nomination block.  Has age finally caught up to the Oakland Raiders?  The whole team is a fantasy nightmare and Rich is leading the way with only 149 Yds passing and 0 TDs for 7 fantasy points.

Drew Bledsoe (Buffalo) – Drew went from one of the top scorers in the previous week, to being an outright dog in week 3.  The Dolphins defense finally came to play and the Bills paid the price for it.  Bledsoe had only 10 completions for 98 Yds and 0 TDs for a measly 4 fantasy points.  Truly a horrible performance.

You can help decide, will Rich Gannon survive two weeks in a row?  Place your vote now for who will be next to go on the waiver wire.  Who will be the Ultimate Fantasy Quarterback!
