Settling into the ‘groove’ of the season quite nicely. Vinnie’s ready for some Turkey Day football. Getting together with the family, in particular my brother in-law Rocco (hey – keep it quiet, there is a warrant out for his arrest). Haven’t seen him since he’s been in the big house, but we got a lot to catch up on. He mentioned a fellow named Bubba he met, but I digress…
Won some more money for Christmas presents for the kids. Went 2-0-1, and no game was in doubt. Green Bay lucked out with a come from behind victory (and a push for us). However, San Fran was exposed as a terrible, terrible, terrible team, in an opportunity where Tampa was looking to lay it on somebody. Also, Indy exposed Chicago as the fraud that they are. Two different classes of teams there, and Peyton chasing Marino’s TD record means many more Indy covers of large spreads.
OK – On to this week
I promised you a 5 star play this week, and here it is.
Chicago +3.5@ Dallas: Chicago’s offense is putrid. Dallas played Baltimore tough for the first half. Look for a full 60 minutes of attention from Dallas, and a big, Turkey day victory for the ‘Boys. Parcells WILL have his team ready to play at a high level, and Chicago anemic offense won’t match up well against a tough Dallas D this week. Drew Hensen gets the start as well. Lay the points, in another 5* rout. Cowboys –3.5 *****
Philly –7 @ Giants: Giants lost as Eli Manning debuted on Broadway. Look for McNabb to take advantage of the weak Giants secondary, and the Eagles to win by a TD or more. Eagles –7 ***
Cleveland +6 @ Cincy: Cleveland is in disarray, who is their QB? Cincy has a much better team, and should also win by a TD or more. Chad Johnson is finally getting some chemistry with Carson Palmer. Cincy-6 ***
Three favorites this week, invest some money on Dallas, and have a busy shopping day on Friday. I’ll be hanging with Rocco, should have some good stories to share next week.
