Don’t look now but the Seattle Seahawks are starting to play some darn good football.
I have mentioned both of these youngsters before but their play warrants another shout out.
A lot of fantasy owners sure could have used the news that Eddie Lacy was in the doghouse before last Thursday’s game. [Editor’s Comment: At least Lacy still has a job. Alonzo Harris, who was with Lacy when they both missed curfew on December 2nd the night before they faced the Lions, was cut by the Packers and won’t be resigned due to his bad influence on Lacy, according to Ian Rapoport.]
Speaking of last Thursday’s game, how about the Detroit Lions finding new ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
A long pass hasn’t been that poorly defended since Grant Hill hit Christian Laettner at the foul line back in 1992.
Sorry to all the Kentucky Wildcats’ fans out there but it had to be said (written).
On Sunday, they combined to be 24 of 54 for 232 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Ugh. [Editor’s Comment: Take away 2013 when Foles threw 27 TDs and only 2 INTs and you have nothing but an average QB at best.]
It’s about time to stick a fork in Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. They both appear to be done.
They may also be bringing Devonta Freeman with them in standard scoring formats. Freeman is still golden in PPR leagues. [Editor’s Comment: Is it time for those in dynasty/keeper leagues to consider selling high on Freeman?]
Well hello Marcus Mariota! It’s always nice when a quarterback can run for an 87 yard score and rack up 380 total yards in a game.
Congrats to every owner out there that rolled with Mariota this week…all three of them.
I like the future fantasy potential of the Mariota-to- Dorial Green-Beckham hook up. They had it going on this week.
For my IDP brethren out there we need to get Frank Clark on our radars. The rookie has three sacks in the last two games. He’s a baller. [Editor’s Comment: Thank you, Uncle Waldo. These are the kinds of tidbits by our top-notch IDP crew (Uncle Waldo and Gary Davenport) here at Fantasy Sharks that help keep me competitive in my IDP leagues.]
Not to be outdone, Matt Schaub also threw a pick-six for the second week in a row in the same game. Nobody has mastered the art quite as well as Schaub. It’s really quite amazing.
We are officially naming Week 13 the week of the pick-six.
Week 13 is certainly not the week of the running back. Heading into the Sunday night game there has not been a single back to score multiple touchdowns.
Regarding running backs, I was way off regarding Gio Bernard this week. Sorry folks, I guess Jeremy Hill’s ankle really was OK.
That’s what I get for playing amateur doctor.
