By Week 10 in the season, you probably have a relatively realistic idea of whether you have a shot at the playoffs or should just set your line up the rest of the year and throw in the towel. Some teams are fighting for the bye already, while others are strategizing with waiver adds and blockbuster trades to snag that last playoff berth. With six teams on a bye week in Week 9 and now four more teams resting for Week 10, filling those empty starting slots each week combined with injury and workload concerns can be a major challenge!
Take a dive with me as I review several players poised for a solid Week 10.
Eli Manning has been one of the biggest busts in fantasy football this year, with his New York Giants being equally as disappointing. After two straight wins and with a glimmer of hope remaining in the terrible NFC East, the Giants and Manning are back on the incline. After last weekend’s bye, Manning will welcome the visiting Oakland Raiders who were absolutely demolished by Philadelphia’s
in his record-tying seven touchdown performance. With interceptions in his last two games, look for Manning to exude more confidence and deliver in a strong Week 10 start.
Week 10 Forecast: 225 passing yards and 2 touchdowns
Although reports surfaced that Tampa Bay’s
may return in Week 10’s Monday Night Football Game,
Mike James is likely to be the main feature back even if he does play. In his second start of the year, James trampled the Seattle Seahawks’ highly ranked defense for 158 rushing yards averaging almost six yards per carry. The Bucs look to earn their first win as they welcome their southern neighbor, the Miami Dolphins to town. Miami has allowed a touchdown to opposing running backs every game since Week 4 and around 150 rushing yards to backs during the last two contests. James should definitely be useful again for fantasy owners.
Week 10 Forecast: 100 total yards and 1 touchdown
’s top target this season, but
Emmanuel Sanders seems to be gaining favor. With eleven targets and at least 88 receiving yards over the last two games, Sanders has been an integral element in Pittsburgh’s improving offense. Pittsburgh welcomes the Buffalo Bills who have allowed the second most points to opposing wide receivers this season.
Week 10 Forecast: 80 receiving yards and 1 touchdown
With twelve targets and two scores over the last two games, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ tight end
Timothy Wright is moving up the positional rankings. Since
began captaining the Bucs’ offense, Wright has been a key target for Glennon. Wright will attempt to continue his hot streak against the Miami Dolphins. Although Miami has improved in defending opposing tight ends recently, they are still allowing the third most points the position.
Week 10 Forecast: 50 receiving yards and 1 touchdown
It seems that the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers receive all of the praise on defense in the competitive NFC West. However, the
Arizona Cardinals defense has been solid. In fact, they have averaged three sacks and almost two interceptions over the last month. With
questionable and Houston’s third string quarterback
set to start again, Arizona should have a field day at home in Week 10.
