Week 10 – Survivor Pools

The home
teams took care of business in Week 9 as the heavily favored Falcons and
Seahawks won on Sunday. However, the Packers could not survive the

Battle of the Bays and allowed

Tampa
to pick up their first win of the season.

Always be
wary of those road teams …

There is
a Thursday night game this week and it will continue until Week 15 so remember
to get your picks in!

On to
Week 10

THURSDAY
NIGHT FOOTBALL

Chicago

@ San Francisco – Avoid this
Thursday night opener. Both teams need a win. I’ll pick the Bears on the road.

SUNDAY
FOOTBALL

Detroit

@

Minnesota – Of course

Minnesota is an option, but

Detroit
always plays them tough (see the last three games between these two). I’ll pick
the Vikings.

Denver

@ Washington – Never like road
teams but

Denver needs to get
back on track. I like the Broncos as an option, but not the top selection.

Cincinnati

@ Pittsburgh – Huge AFC North
battle takes place in

Pittsburgh.
Give me the Steelers at home.

Atlanta @
Carolina – This one is interesting as the Panthers have played really well at
times this year, but very poor in other games. I like

Atlanta to beat them in

Carolina.
Stay away in survivor.

Tampa

Bay

@ Miami – The Buccaneers
will not win two straight games.

Miami
will bounce back after a loss in

New
England
. I like the Dolphins as a top pick this week.

New Orleans

@

St. Louis
– Saints win.

Jacksonville

@ NY Jets – Tough call as
both teams play up and down. Stay away, but Jets take this one.

Buffalo

@

Tennessee
– The Titans have caught fire, kind of. Chris Johnson has been tremendous and I
expect that to continue. I have a hard time picking a team that is 2-6 in
survivor pools so I won’t, but the Titans will win this one.

Kansas City

@

Oakland
– Ugly. Chiefs win?

Dallas

@ Green Bay – I like

Green Bay
to pull off the home upset. I love the home underdogs and

Dallas
is flying high right now. They could be due for an upset. However, if the

Green Bay
offensive line plays terrible again, which they very well could, that will
change things. Packers at home, but don’t select this in survivor.

Seattle

@

Arizona
– Avoid this divisional game.

Arizona
has been great on the road this year, shockingly. The Cardinals are the team I
would take here, but they’re too risky in survivor.

Philadelphia

@ San Diego – This is a
tough game to call. I really want to pick the Eagles to pull the upset on the
road after everyone thinks the Chargers are coming on.

San Diego has closed the gap with

Denver
and they will want to keep pace, but I’m picking Philly.

SUNDAY
NIGHT FOOTBALL

New
England @

Indianapolis – Great
Sunday night game. Both quarterbacks are playing extremely well. The same goes
for both teams who sit atop their respective divisions. In a game like this, I
go with the home team.

MONDAY
NIGHT FOOTBALL

Baltimore

@

Cleveland
– The Ravens take care of the Browns in a bad Monday nighter … unless you have Joe
Flacco, Derrick Mason, Ray Rice, etc. – then it will be fun.

Selections:
Saints are an obvious choice. The Vikings are the second, but remember the
Lions have played them close.

Miami
and Baltimore are the two teams I like this week, in that order. I know the
Ravens are at a divisional opponent, which spells trouble, but the Browns are
pathetic.
