Well, it’s happened again. This past week with 72% of the vote, you decided to eliminate Shaun Alexander from the competition. Alexander was eliminated even though he leads all RBs with TDs scored at 19. He was eliminated even though he leads all RBs in rushing yardage with 1608. If you base the voting solely on his week 15 performance, it was a no brainer. But Shaun probably deserved to stay alive. In week 16 he did what many of those eliminated have done, posted one of the top RB performances the week he was cast aside.
Shaun Alexander led all rushers with 154 YDs and 3 TDs for 33 fantasy points.
We are now down to 3 contestants: Ladainian Tomlinson, Corey Dillon and Edgerrin James. Tomlinson has remained consistent all season, although not as dominating as his owners would have liked. He did post a big score in week 16 with 29 fantasy points. James is currently #5 on the RB list and Dillon is at #7. Both have fared well up to now and deserve to have a shot at the title.
Now onto the nominees for this week’s Ultimate Fantasy voting.
Current contestant list:
Shaun Alexander Tiki Barber Kevan Barlow
Domanick Davis Stephen Davis Corey Dillon
Marshall Faulk Ahman Green Travis Henry
Priest Holmes Edgerrin James Rudi Johnson
Jamal Lewis Deuce McAllister Clinton Portis
Fred Taylor Ladainian Tomlinson Brian Westbrook
Each week we’ll take the lowest fantasy producers based on the Fantasy Sharks scoring system and put them up for an elimination vote.
This week Ladainian Tomlinson gets the pass to the finals and we get to choose between Edgerrin James and Corey Dillon to be eliminated.
Corey led the Patriots to a big division win against the Jets with 89 YDs rushing and catching 2 balls for 21 YDs and 9 fantasy points.
The Edge rushed for 86 YDs and had 5 catches for 41 YDs and 12 fantasy points. With all the hoopla over Peyton Manning and the new Touchdown record, it is easy to forget about James on that team.
So who will be eliminated? And who will carry on next week to face Tomlinson in the final vote? Cast your vote here.
