Good morning and welcome to Week 4.
There should be no reason that Redskins’ RB Ryan Torain is still on the waiver wire. But if he is, pick him up. With the release of RB Keiland Williams the only thing standing in the way of Torain taking over the lead role in Washington is time.
The answer to the Packers running game could already be on their roster. With all the rumors swirling about the potential acquisition of Marshawn Lynch or DeAngelo Williams you should be stashing James Starks on your roster. Starks has been nursing a hamstring injury and is due to come off the PUP list in week 7. Pick him up now just in case the Pack decides against making a trade.
Regardless of if Saints’ RB Pierre Thomas plays or not, I’ve got Redskins’ RB Ryan Torain already in my starting lineup. The Eagles are the 3rd most generous defense versus running backs. I gotta get me some of that.
If Broncos’ WR Demaryius Thomas throws up a dud this week feel free to make a lowball offer to his owner. Kyle Orton is on pace to throw for 5,749 yards and 21 TDs. With matchups against Arizona, Oakland and Houston looming in weeks 14-16, respectively, Thomas could play a major role in deciding many a fantasy championship.
It may not happen this week, but 49ers’ WR Michael Crabtree is about to start living up to the hype.
With Buccaneers’ RB LaGarrette Blount getting all the love this week don’t fall asleep on Kareem Huggins. A preseason darling, Huggins is still recovering from a groin injury. But, once healthy expect the Bucs to give Huggins plenty of carries.
With Packers’ WR James Jones having fumbled the last two weeks, including one that cost the Packers the game versus the Bears, it’s time to put Jordy Nelson on your radar. Jones has also been mentioned in several trade rumors, so it may be just a matter of time until Nelson moves into the Packers’ wide receiver rotation.
While playing with her sisters last night my 2-year old fell off the couch and broke her arm. She is scheduled for surgery this morning. Please keep her in your prayers.
Thank you and good luck.
