Week 7 – Last Minute Lineup Tips

Good morning everyone!  Hope you’re ready for week 7.  The Corner of Knowledge has some thoughts to help you set your lineups.

Make sure

Pierre Thomas is in your starting lineup.  Prior to

Drew Brees exploding for 369 yards and four TDs last week, the Giants’ defense had only allowed four passing TDs through its first five games.  With the Dolphins’ attention squarely fixed on the Saints’ passing game I expect Thomas to have plenty of room to work.

If you’re looking for WR help this week I’m sure Packers wideout

James Jones is available in your league.

Greg Jennings, who missed Thursday’s practice due to his hip flaring up, will start.  But, with Jordy Nelson expected to miss 3 or 4 games, look for Jones to have a nice day going up against a Cleveland secondary that allowed 313 receiving yards to the Steelers’ wide receivers last week.

The Bills have given up the most fantasy points to running backs this season.  Make sure you get your share of J-Stew and plug

Jonathan Stewart into your starting lineup.

Here’s a quote from

Cedric Benson courtesy of ESPN, “With all the interviews and all the attention, I’ve had a chance to stop and think about all I’ve been through, and I’m very proud of myself for how far I’ve come and the way I’ve been able to turn things around. I don’t think there’s any greater accomplishment than being at the bottom and finding a way, fighting all the way back to the top. What a wonderful thing, right?”

Then Cedric says that the Bears blackballed him in an attempt to keep him from signing with another team.  Which is it Cedric? Did the Bears blackball you or did you drink your career into the toilet only to get control of your demons and resurrect a once promising career?

Johnny Knox leads the Bears’ receivers in targets with 31.  He makes for a nice play this week and should make a visit to the end zone.

If you’re digging deep for a RB this week checkout the Patriots’

BenJarvus Green-Ellis.  Tampa Bay gives up the fifth most fantasy points to running backs and Patriots’ coach Bill Belichick loves to mix things up.

I picked up 49ers’ WR

Michael Crabtree in a bunch of leagues.  But there’s no way I start him this week unless he’s the last man standing.  If you have Crabtree in your lineup and James Jones on the waiver wire…go get

James Jones.

Look for the Chiefs’

Larry Johnson and the Rams’

Steven Jackson to both find the endzone this week.

Good luck this week.
